it's not just a session

It's a personalized Experience.

My clients aren’t just looking for a photographer. They are looking for an experience that captures their personalities, their playfulness, candid moments of emotion that cannot be replicated, recreated, or posed.

wedding & portrait photography

authentic. emotional.  timeless.

Whether you are planning a family session or a wedding, connection is key. I encourage all of my clients to thoroughly explore their options- I want you to choose a photographer based on your needs & personal style. Does my portfolio align with your vision? It does? Awesome! Let’s get down to business!
For non-wedding clients, I generally discuss details and planning with you via phone or email. We’ll choose a location based on how you’d like your gallery to look and your family’s accessibility requirements. We’ll also discuss styling and client closet access if desired!
For wedding clients, we will typically meet in person to discuss the details of your day, contracts, and plan your engagement session. If you prefer to do this over the phone or video chat, that is perfectly ok! We’ll do what you’re most comfortable with.

what tO expect

When we meet for your session, we’ll chat for a few minutes until I get excited about a ray of light, flower, or some other thing that will make you momentarily question my sanity. I’ll probably make a fool of myself trying to make you feel comfortable in front of the camera.

In the first half of your session I’m going to bust out all my tricks and tell you where to sit, stand, lay, put your hands, tilt your chin, etc. If you’re a couple, I’ll make you kiss a lot. (Sorry, not sorry!)

Helpful Hint: Think of your favorite breakfast cereal on your way to the shoot.

additional information

The second half of your session, I generally try to get more candid, natural shots. If your session type allows for an outfit change, you’ll change outfits and we’ll begin again. If your session allows for multiple locations, we’ll drive to the new location.

All I ask is that you are on time. Being late will cut into our valuable shooting time and cut down on your final selection of images, especially when light is a factor. There is no time to spare during golden hour sessions!

What area
do you serve?

Great question! I mainly shoot in Central/Western, MA and Southern, NH. Travel within 50 miles of my hometown Petersham, MA is included in all session fees. I am happy to travel further, but there will be an extra charge for that.

01.

Do I have to have an engagement session?

This one is tricky! Of course you don’t HAVE to. But I highly recommend it. It gives us a chance to get comfortable with each other before the big day, and when most couples see their gallery, they are so glad they did it!

02.

What should I wear to my session?

I am a big fan of long dresses with lots of movement. I do have a client closet with many dresses to choose from if you’re not looking to invest in something you’ll only wear once. Outfit changes are also encouraged! Bring one dressy outfit and one casual so we can switch things up!

03.

Have you shot at this venue before?

Sometimes I have and sometimes I haven’t! Even if it’s one I haven’t been to, I go and check it out (if at all possible) before the date of your ceremony. I want your photos to be PERFECT. I want to know where the best light is, where the most beautiful scenery is, where the western sky is going to be for your sunset photos, and other pertinent details.

04.

Will I get all the photos from my wedding day?

No. And you wouldn’t want them, I assure you! I cull through the photos and remove the ones where you are blinking, where you appear to have seven chins or no chin at all, and so on and so forth. I deliver only the shots that represent your best, my best, and the beauty and emotion of your day. I promise, you will have a thorough and flawless gallery that tells the story of your love!

05.

Do you provide partial day coverage?

I sure do. Please send me a message through the contact form for more information on hourly rates.

06.

Can you recommend a location for my session?

Absolutely! My list grows bigger every day...Shoot me a message and we’ll chat about what location would be best for you!
